Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! On Saturday we took the kids to the annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Although it was FREEZING, they had a great time. Brigham ended up with so many eggs that we made him give some away to the other kids. He was a good sport about it. Once Mckell figured out that there was candy inside the eggs we couldn't get her to give up her basket. She even took it to run errands. Many times we caught her stealing candy from Brighams basket and putting it in her own (not sure where she gets that from =D )We decided that on Sunday I would cook a big five course meal which included a peppercorn crusted ham, Parmesan rolls, twice baked potatoes, vegetables and pie-which we were to full to eat! It was delicious and a fun tradition, I definitely think we'll do it again next year.

BRRRR!

Easter morning

Mckell felt like such a princess! She showed everyone, and I mean everyone her pretty new dress and shoes. Even Brigham kept telling everyone at church that his sister looks pretty, followed by "And I'm Handsome!"

OK this one is not from Easter. Connie this one's for you! Everyone has bad hair days now and then!

This is not for the faint of heart! This is Jeremy's finger after it was bitten by a lion, well at least that's what Brigham tells everybody.

Highlight of the week =D

Ok so I know it has been a long time since I've updated my blog. Sorry! I have been so busy sometimes I'm not even sure what day it is! The past couple of months I have been working with the cheer squad at UVU trying to get them ready for nationals. Last week they got the chance to compete at the USA collegiate nationals in California and they WON! I was so proud of them and it was a blast to be there with them and to help them along the way. I headed down to nationals a few days early so I could judge the high school nationals then I stayed for college nationals which made for one long trip! It was great to be there with some friends and fellow judges that I only get to see once a year! I am so grateful to my friends and family that all pitched in to take care of my kids (and husband!) So here is a rundown of some highlights from last week.
-Got to go to California to judge high school nationals
-UVU won 1st Place
-Enjoyed some warm weather
-Got to eat dinner with friends, with no kids!!
-Didn't have to change any diapers
-Got to see some amazing cheer and dance routines

But the the weeks #1 Highlight:
Dancing the Hokey Pokey with the kids pretty much all day after I got home. Kids are the best and they are a constant reminder of what is really important in life!
